The sole survivor of a United States Navy pilot who was killed in action during Vietnam, Eric always felt a need to serve his country.  After turning 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.  While at Parris Island Eric  was not only a squad leader of Platoon 1024 but also received his first meritorious promotion.  During his time in the Reserves, Eric proudly served with 4th Battalion 14th Marines Lima and Headquarters Batteries located in Bessemer, AL where he received a Meritorious Mast, Certificate of Commendation, second meritorious promotion and Letter of Appreciation.  He also attended Samford University, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

While serving stateside in California during Operation Desert Storm, Eric received much support from not only friends, family, and fellow Samford students and professors but also complete strangers who wanted to simply show their gratitude to those defending our nation.  Upon returning home from his active duty service,  Eric was so moved by the outpouring of support he had received that he committed to one day creating a way to help his fellow brothers and sisters in arms in order to pay back the generosity he was shown.  Over twenty years later, Lone Warriors was born.

Eric is currently employed as a freelance photographer with 2 Whealing Photograpy.
